Ash Grange is a happy and successful, one form entry, “Good” primary school serving its diverse community, covering the 2-11 years. Our Preschool and Nursery provides for 2-4 year olds in our specialist facility with free-flow indoor and outdoor spaces and wonderful learning opportunities that nurture our children’s development.

Due to the high demand for places, resulting in additional sessions, governors are seeking to appoint a caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team now.

  • The right person should be able to show empathy and patience whilst being consistent in their approach, providing a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment.
  • The ability to communicate well with children, staff and parents in a key skill.
  • Applicants should hold an Early Years Level 2 qualification and be willing to work towards Level 3.
  • Previous Early Years experience and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage is essential.
  • You will be expected to show a high level of EYFS understanding and practice, with experience of observing and completing Learning Journeys; confidence with IT/ipads would be ideal. 

  • The hours are 35.50 hours/week, term time only (39 weeks), Monday to Friday 8.30 to 3.45pm (5.30pm on Wednesdays); unpaid lunch break.
  • The salary is Surrey Pay P3 FTE £17,316 – £18,242 (actual £14,555-£15,334).
  • Centrally located and with plenty of onsite parking, the school is a five-minute walk from Ash Station.
